Stone Age

Project by OJEAM Studio

The project was initiated at the Island of São Miguel in the Azores archipelago,
at the BASALT - Residency, as an experimental exploration of the local stone - Basalt.

Granite became after the topic of continued research, this time in the surroundings of the "continental land".
Granite combines several natural properties such as: heat resistance, anti-adhesion, and impermeability, with the additional factor of its smoothness of the surface. The collection is composed of a variety of textures/colors found in the stone,
a set of 4 objects that brings light to its properties and exotic patterns.
