2020A series of experimental objects for everyday rituals grown from fungi - mycelium*- root-like structure of a fungus,
a microscopic mass of white threads.
Materials: Mycelium (fungi shiitake + wood chips substrate)
+ paint + recycled tin (standard candle fit)
Technique: Biofabrication, charring, staining, hand-painted.

MYCELIUMMILLENNIUM features a collection of living objects that challengetradicional aesthetics and perceptions of fungal materials. It blends biofabrication—the process of creating materials and products by harnessing biological organisms, such as cultivating fungi, to develop sustainable and biodegradable alternatives to conventional materials—with craftsmanship that embodies antique symbols and forms, connecting the objects to a broader material history. This collection embraces a circular vision, where materials are sourced from and ultimately returned to nature.
