GOBLET / TROPHY
2023-24GOBLET / TROPHY - a series of experimental sculptures grown from mycelium, the root-like structure of a fungus.
Fungi are the great decomposers, feeding on death and converting it into new life.
These objects act as vessels of ceremony, celebrating biological processes such as decay and growth.
Each piece takes up to six weeks to grow, and every sculpture is unique, shaped by the fungi’s own process.
